The end of season wrap-up

With the completion of Maadi Cup last week, another rowing season is all but finished with just NZ Universities and World Masters still to compete. The past 12 months have seen our boats competing at all South Island regattas, Nationals and Maadi Cup all for the first time.
It’s been a busy summer for us having completed a heap of repairs with a number of new boats as well and we are thrilled with how our boats are performing. Proskiff boats have won medals at SI Champs, Nationals plus two titles at Maadi Cup.
Our Maadi Cup highlights are;

  • Gold in Girls U18 2- with Christchurch Girls’ High School winning by three boat lengths.

  • Gold in Boys U17 4+ with Christchurch Boys’ High School producing the fastest 4+ time of the regatta doing 6.26 to win in calm conditions, just 1 second slower than the record for that event!
  • Five Proskiff boats at the regatta were collectively raced in five A finals and one B final

Looking ahead to winter, it’s time to celebrate and then get some funding sorted for new boat purchases. (If you haven’t done that already!) Let us know if you need quotes for new boats.
Also, winter is the best time to have major repair or refurbishment work done on your fleet. New fittings, running gear and a re-paint can make a boat look & feel new again.
If you have any queries then please get in touch or visit our website for more information.

Finally, thanks to everyone who has supported us over the past 12 months, we look forward to developing these relationships further over the coming year.
